Manufactured by Böhler-Uddeholm, K390 MICROCLEAN is a state-of-the-art cold work tool steel produced by the particle metallurgy process. Its advanced alloy mix was specifically developed to provide the extreme wear resistance and high compressive strength needed in industrial cutting, blanking, and punching operations.

Despite its toughness, its exceptionally fine, homogeneous microstructure also makes it readily machinable and easy to heat treat. Collectively, these qualities make K390 an outstanding blade steel. The exact alloy composition of K390 is as follows: Carbon: 2.47%, Chromium: 4.2%, Cobalt: 2.0 %, Manganese: 0.4%, Molybdenum: 3.8%, Silicon: 0.55%, Tungsten: 1.00%, and Vanadium: 9.00%. The new Waterproof Gun Case was designed to keep shotguns clean, undamaged, and in peak operation when carried to and from waterfowl hunting blinds.

The Waterproof Gun Case is based on a rugged 500D welded PVC outer shell that is resistant to the typical punctures, abrasions, and environmental harshness typically encountered when waterfowl hunting. The interior shell is comprised of a high-density, closed-cell flotation foam, with additional protection offered by a padded liner. Sealing the gun case from water intrusion is a buckled roll-top similar to those used for expedition-grade dry bags.

To facilitate transport, the Waterproof Gun Case comes with an integrated carry handle and a removable and adjustable padded shoulder strap. A D-ring is attached to the front of the case to allow it to be hung out of the muck and water.

The Waterproof Gun Case comes in Olive Green and is sized to accommodate shotguns with barrels up to 28 inches with extended choke tubes. The total length is 58 inches unrolled and 53 inches when rolled closed. Weight is 1 lb., 9 oz.

The Shell View system with small windows in the magazine tube give instant feedback as to how many shells are loaded. The barrel and chokes are coated with Benelli’s BE.S.T. finish for protection from a shotgun’s worst enemies – rust and corrosion.

Benelli developed a hybrid PVD/PECVD machine that uses diamond-like carbon particles applied with a high-vacuum plasma nanotechnology to apply the BE.S.T. finish. The process is environmentally friendly and produces no hazardous chemical by-product while delivering a layer of high-hardness for superior abrasion and corrosion resistance. The insides of the barrels are chrome-lined for additional protection.

Benelli answered the call for a gun that can withstand punishing high-volume shooting with the lightning fast handling, featherlight weight and a soft kick for hours of enjoyment in the field. The new shotgun is available in 12 gauge, 20 gauge and 28 gauge and can handle loads up to 3-inch magnums down to the lightest 7/8-ounce loads.
