Tisas USA Introduces Museum-Grade 1911A1 Replica

Tisas USA, a division of SDS Imports, has introduced a museum-grade replica of the M1911A1 as it was issued during the Second World War. Based on a 1943 Remington Rand, the Tisas Armed Services (AS) duplicates the original Type E hammer, correct arched mainspring housing, small window ejection port, and other features specific to the sub-contracted pistols of the day.

“Until now, no one has produced a true replica of the issue M1911A1,” said SDS/Tisas USA CEO Tim Mulverhill. “Many companies have created ‘GI’ or similarly named models, but none of them were true representations of the original. We set out to create a version that would be hard to tell apart when holding an original in one hand and the Tisas in the other. Until you see the discreet manufacturer information under the dust cover, you can’t tell them apart other than wear and the cruder wartime machining marks of the originals. We even considered adding the flaming Ordnance Bomb proof mark, but there is a fine line between replica and counterfeit, and we felt that would be crossing it.”

The Armed Services features the correct United States Property roll marks, and ships with the correct brown plastic grips. A set of walnut, double diamond checkered grips are also included.

Tisas Armed Services M1911 A1s are chambered in .45 ACP, have a barrel length of 5 inches, ship with two 7-round magazines and more. MSRP is $479.99. Visit the Tisas USA website for details.

Also new from Tisas USA this year is the Nightstalker 1911 DS and Optics Ready PX-5.7.

Galco’s Triton 3.0 Kydex IWB Holster for the Springfield Hellcat Pro

Galco’s Triton 3.0 Kydex IWB Holster for the Springfield Hellcat Pro is now available for pistols with or without a red-dot sight. Constructed of durable, virtually maintenance-free Kydex, the Triton 3.0 is fast on the draw, slender in profile, and easy to conceal!

A raised sweat guard protects the wearer’s body from the handgun, and the handgun from perspiration. The holster is cut low to accommodate most carry-style red dot sights. Included with the Triton is an optional, height-adjustable claw-type stabilizer for those gun carriers who prefer it.

The belt clips are adjustable for cant and suitable for strongside and crossdraw. The Triton 3.0’s improved appendix carry position offers the option of the 2.0’s previous ride height plus a lowered neutral cant position for gun carriers who prefer an even deeper ride.

The Triton 3.0 is supplied with two types of interchangeable tuckable clips. The first is the UniClip, designed to go over the belt, but which also works well without a belt. The second is the Ultimate Stealth clip with hook, which fits on the trouser waistband, under or behind a belt with just the hook showing, for the ultimate in stealthy concealment!

SAF Celebrates 50 Years

This year marks the 50th anniversary for the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF), and in celebration of the organization’s milestone, SAF has unveiled a special logo that will be used throughout 2024.

The new logo represents the tremendous accomplishment and honors the organization’s half-century of dedicated advocacy. Since its inception, SAF has been involved in more than 260 legal cases across the nation and has litigated – and won – cases at the highest levels of the American judicial system.

“When I started SAF in 1974, I only had one purpose in mind: Defending our firearms freedom one lawsuit at a time,” said SAF Founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb. “What began as my quest to ensure our right as Americans to keep and bear arms has grown into an organization that currently has 57 active cases, all with the same goal in mind—securing our Second Amendment rights for generations to come.”

In its 50-year history, SAF has achieved significant victories in the courts, most notably the landmark McDonald v. City of Chicago case. That decision – handed down by the Supreme Court of the United States – was critical to the fight against modern gun control laws. Thanks to that ruling, SAF and others have been able to fight for firearms freedom in states, cities and towns across America.

“Alan has built a tremendous foundation over the past 50 years, and as SAF expands, we will continue to honor his legacy of securing our Second Amendment rights,” said SAF Executive Director Adam Kraut. “For the past half-century, SAF has tirelessly defended the firearms freedom of American citizens, successfully challenging unconstitutional gun laws in the United States. It’s an honor to lead an organization like SAF and know the work we’re doing will have a ripple effect for years to come. I look forward to continuing to build on SAF’s solid foundation and I’m excited to see what the future holds for the organization.”

PTR Industries Now Shipping Archon Firearms Gen 2 with Optics Cut

PTR Industries is now shipping the RMR and RMS optic cut versions of the Archon Firearms Gen 2, Type B by PTR. Archon Firearms’ semi-automatic pistols are innovative compact, high-performance handguns that utilize a low bore axis and patented breech locking system, known as AF-Speedlock.
