NRA-PVF Endorses President Donald Trump for Reelection

From NRA-PVF

The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) endorsed President Donald Trump for reelection as the president of the United States of America in 2020. The endorsement was announced in a letter sent to the president yesterday, Wednesday, July 15.

“On behalf of America’s 5 million NRA members, the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is proud to endorse your reelection as president of the United States of America. You have done more than any president to protect the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. The NRA stands behind you and your administration.

“We were proud to play a leading role in your 2016 election. You promised to defend the Second Amendment and stand tall for the constitutional freedoms in which our members believe. You recognize the Second Amendment is about liberties that belong to all Americans. You have delivered on your promise in extraordinary ways,” the letter states.

Anti-Gun Groups Get Paycheck Protection Cash

From the Second Amendment Foundation

The Second Amendment Foundation today said the recent revelation that the anti-gun-rights Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence took a federal Paycheck Protection Loan worth up to $1 million, while working to keep gun stores closed is an “outrageous exploitation of the COVID-19 pandemic to prevent people from exercising their constitutional rights.”

The Brady group reported received between $350,000 and $1 million on April 10. Likewise, the Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence reportedly accepted a loan worth between $150,000 and $350,000 in April, to meet payroll for 16 employees.

“SAF had to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars from contributors to file lawsuits during the coronavirus shutdowns to keep gun stores open as essential businesses so Americans could exercise their Second Amendment rights,” SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb said.

Gottlieb is also chairman of SAF’s sister organization, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, a grassroots political activism organization. That organization also had to raise funds from generous donors to continue its efforts to protect, rather than erode, the rights of American citizens.

“We didn’t take a penny of taxpayer money, nor did we even apply, because that simply would not have been appropriate,” he stated.

“On the other hand,” he added, “the Brady and Gifford groups fought to keep gun stores closed while taking taxpayer funds to stop people from being able to buy firearms and ammunition to protect themselves and their property from violence including rioters, looters and arsonists.”

“More appalling is the fact that, according to their latest tax returns, the Brady and Gifford organizations have several millions of dollars in assets,” Gottlieb noted. “They did not need any taxpayer money to keep their doors open.”

“This is yet another fraud committed by the gun prohibition lobby against the American people,” he said.

Havoc Tactical Solutions Celebrates Sale of 10,000th Deflector Brake on Amazon

From Havoc Tactical Solutions

Havoc Tactical Solutions, a veteran-owned firearms accessory company, is proud to celebrate the sale of its 10,000th Deflector Brake product on Amazon.

This milestone is a meaningful accomplishment to the Havoc Tactical Solutions team, who started the company in 2014. In 2017, they began selling their product on Amazon, an online retail giant. Havoc Tactical Solutions started to see a large increase in their Amazon sales in 2019, and now they have officially reached the sale of 10,000 products through Amazon transactions alone. Their goal going forward is to reach 10,000 Deflector Brake units per year through Amazon sales.

Havoc Tactical Solutions is actively expanding and is continuing to see increased growth in product sales. Their Deflector Brake product is an AR accessory that guides spent brass into a pile as it is ejected. It absorbs the energy normally contained in the ejected casing and reduces the speed and distance the brass travels by an average of 60%. It also pushes the hot brass out in front of the firing line. The Deflector Brake is easy to apply and nearly weightless. It is a disposable, peel, stick and press accessory for standard AR15 platform receivers.

MSRP for the Deflector Brake is $17.99. Havoc Tactical Solutions recommends swapping out Deflector Brakes after 1500 rounds to maintain the desired effects. Results will vary as no two rifles or shooting conditions are the same.

SCTP Packaging on Winchester Super-Target Shotshells

From Winchester

Winchester Ammunition and the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) are once again teaming up — this time with new co-branded ammunition packaging.

“This is an opportunity to keep the SCTP organization in front of millions of our customers across the United States and build interest for their mission in support of the youth shooting sports,” said Matt Campbell, vice president of sales and marketing for Winchester Ammunition.

Winchester is the official ammunition of the SCTP and displays the organization’s logo on its widely popular Winchester Super-Target® shotshell packages (symbols: TRGT128 and TRGTL128), which are now shipping to retailers and dealers nationwide.

“We want more people to learn what SCTP has to offer, and this is one way to get our brand exposed to more people,” said Tom Wondrash, SCTP national executive director. “We’re really proud of what the SCTP and SSSF organizations have been able to accomplish, and every year we see exponential growth in the number of teams and participants. We really couldn’t do it without the support of brands like Winchester.”

To ensure that this incredible trend of success continues, Winchester Ammunition has made substantial investments in the SCTP organization, including presence at the national competition in Marengo, Ohio, and a special ammunition purchase program for its teams.

Winchester is the official ammunition of the SCTP.

“We are really excited to see all of these Winchester guns sporting TrueTimber camo this year and we love the lineup,” said TrueTimber CEO Rusty Sellars. “Everybody knows the Winchester name, and everyone knows they deliver top of the line products that perform above the rest time after time. NSSF Partners with Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation

From NSSF

NSSF, the firearm industry trade association, is pleased to announce that it has formed a partnership with the Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation (SSSF) to promote NSSF’s First Shots® program and +ONESMMovement initiatives through SSSF’s family of teams and their home ranges.

SSSF is a 501(c)(3) public charity that oversees all activities of its two youth development programs, the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) and the Scholastic Action Shooting Program (SASP). SCTP focuses on fostering participation in the clay target sports, including skeet, trap, sporting clays and Olympic-style trap and skeet disciplines, whereas SASP supports participation in steel-target action handgun and rifle competitions. Both team-based programs welcome youths ranging from grade-school through college age, with students mentored and coached by trained volunteers.

NSSF’s +ONE Movement likewise has fostering participation in the shooting sports as its foundation. Launched in 2019, +ONE was created to inspire gun owners to introduce someone to target shooting or hunting. Mentors signing the +ONE Pledge take the time to show how safe and enjoyable the shooting sports are and are encouraged to extend invitations to those whose families don’t traditionally own firearms, target shoot or hunt. It is, at its heart, a “pay-it-forward” movement, one designed to welcome anyone who might have an interest in these pursuits but didn’t know where or to whom to turn to get involved.

“A partnership with SSSF is organic outreach at its best,” said Zach Snow, NSSF Director, Retail & Range Business Development. “Mentoring is not only what SSSF does best, it’s what its students do best. All of them are out there asking their schoolmates, Sunday school classmates and sports teammates to join them—and their parents are doing the same with neighbors, work colleagues and friends who have children. Our +ONE resources will only expand what this organization and its club members already do so well.”

Adding First Shots to the mix is a natural, Snow added. The newly introduced First Shots Clay Targetsprogram combined with the original First Shots programs for handguns and rifles will serve as a key community outreach and recruitment tool for SCTP/SASP teams along with their home ranges. Intended for people who have never handled a firearm before or who are just getting started, these events typically start in the classroom where firearm safety and functionality are covered. Participants then move to the range where, with personal instruction, they take their first successful shots and start their shooting sports journey.

“The kids and young adults participating in SCTP and SASP competitions are, of course, experienced with safe firearm handling and have advanced skill sets. But they didn’t start out that way. Each and every one of them had someone introduce them to the shooting sports,” said Snow.

“Because of those strong beginnings, they are passionate about competition and teamwork, so they also have a natural tendency to ask their peers to give it a try. Making our First Shots program and resources available to SCTP and SASP clubs adds an easy, safe and, most importantly, enjoyable method of entry for those who want to shoot alongside their friends. Used in conjunction with +ONE, we expect this to be a model for reducing barriers to entry and increasing participation in the shooting sports.”

“We at SSSF are in the perfect position to partner with the NSSF for the +ONE Movement,” said Ben Berka, SSSF President and Executive Director. “With thousands of adult volunteers and young SCTP & SASP athletes across the country, we believe our community can make a big difference in introducing shooting sports to those who may not have otherwise had the opportunity. The SCTP was started by NSSF, and its goal of growing the shooting sports continues to align perfectly with our program mission statements. We look forward to continually growing the shooting sports community with the help of +ONE and First Shots resources, focusing our efforts on the youth demographics that SSSF serves.”

NSSF is also offering a free National Shooting Month e-booklet. Grab your copy. The celebration begins in August.
