Bushnell Expands Rimfire Riflescope Lineup

Bushnell®, an industry leader in performance optics, has announced the addition of two new models to its dedicated lineup of rimfire riflescopes. Specifically designed for .22LR rifles, these scopes are ideal for varmint and small game hunting, as well as for plinking and recreational shooting.

The two new riflescopes are available in a 3-9x40mm configuration with DZ22 reticles, with one model featuring an illuminated reticle option. The DZ22 reticle was specifically designed for .22LR rimfire ballistics, with drop points out to 125 yards. On the illuminated reticle model, the riflescope is standard with an “off” position between each intensity setting, so users do not have to return to zero and lose their preferred intensity. The illuminated reticle also provides shooters with improved visibility in low light environments.

Rimfire shooters will appreciate that both models come equipped with glass enhancements for improved performance. Standard features on both riflescopes include multi-coated surfaces, one-piece tube design and a large 40mm objective for more clarity, improved resolution and a larger exit pupil. Both riflescopes can also be used with the Bushnell Ballistic App. These enhancements allow for faster target acquisition and more accurate shooting.

Capped turrets protect shooters’ windage and elevation settings in the field, while lightweight and waterproof sealed aircraft-grade aluminum construction protects the entire scope from the elements. From the field to the range, the 3-9×40 rimfire riflescopes are IPX7 rated and have been designed to get the most out of rimfire rifle shooting no matter the weather conditions.

The cold hammer-forged barrel allows for enhanced durability and world-class accuracy. Cold hammer-forging processes provide the highest level of repeatability and consistency possible in the industry and are standard for Manurhin revolvers.

The LPA target adjustable rear sight allows the shooter to make macro and micro-adjustments for wind and elevation as necessary, making any adjustments needed for longer range shooting a snap.

The MR series of revolvers ships with a highly ergonomic target grip created by the legendary Jacques Trausch. These grips are known for extreme recoil mitigation (especially with full-house .357 Magnum loads) and high levels of shooter control and allow for increased accuracy, faster follow-up shots, and limit recoil transfer to the shooter’s hands.

All Manurhin MR73 series revolvers feature a triple adjustable trigger with an overtravel screw built into the trigger as well as a hammer force adjustment screw and a hammer spring weight adjustment screw built into the frame. This high level of adjustability allows for the shooter to dial in the trigger to the precise specifications needed for maximum control over the shot.

Umarex Airguns raised the bar with improved performance in this new edition to their PCP lineup. The Gauntlet 2’s new onboard air tank has been increased to 24 cubic inches from the first generation’s 13 cubic inch tank. The biggest news for the Gauntlet 2, however, is the increased regulated pressure. Shooters picking up the .22 caliber Gauntlet 2 will find the regulated shot pressure at 1,900 PSI and the .25 caliber Gauntlet 2 tank regulated at 2,100 PSI. Velocities for .22 and .25 caliber pellets will hover in the 1050 FPS and 980 FPS range using lightweight lead pellets and energy levels in the 33 FPE and 51 FPE range with popular standard weight pellets, respectively. The huge 24 cubic inch tank also works to increase the shot count by 17% in .22 caliber to 70+ shots and 85% in .25 caliber to 50+ shots. Even though the Gauntlet 2 is producing substantially more muzzle energy than the original Gauntlet, additional baffling in the barrel assembly works to reduce the noise level by 8dB in both calibers. Mounting a scope on the new Gauntlet 2 is also easier than ever with a Picatinny style optics rail now topping off the receiver.

Umarex USA has run the Gauntlet again by refining the lauded Gauntlet platform to create a powerful and pleasing PCP pellet rifle that, in typical Umarex Airgun fashion, offers exceptional power and exceptional value for the consumer’s shooting dollars. The new Helix tents are available with one- or two-person capacity and are sized for backpacking or ultralight camping. These free-standing tents utilize 7000-series aluminum poles and lightweight aluminum hardware for support.
