The fast and accurate integrated laser rangefinder features three modes: Auto – which provides continuous ranging of moving targets. Near Ranging – which ranges the closest object in the aiming circle, and Far Ranging – which ranges the farthest object in the aiming circle to ensure an accurate reading in situations where there may be objects in the foreground, such as tree limbs or tall grass, that could interfere with a less precisely calibrated rangefinder. The two distance modes offer an advantage to those who frequently hunt in varied terrains. Incline data is also measured for accurate angle compensation in the field.

The illuminated OLED display can be set to yards or meters and features four levels of brightness control. Display readings automatically shut off after 10 seconds to extend battery life. The Optika LR also features twist-up eyecups, dual diopter adjustments, and a low battery indicator.

The magnesium alloy body and rubber armoring make the Optika LR rugged enough for use in the most brutal terrain. It is fully waterproof, shockproof, and its optical and mechanical performance is backed by Meopta’s Lifetime Transferrable Warranty.

Barnaul, the world’s leading manufacturer of precision steel-case ammunition, is now offering a new subsonic cartridge in 9mm Luger ideally suited for use with suppressors or for shooters competing in Minor Power Factor divisions.

The new Barnaul 9mm Subsonic ammunition follows the path of the manufacturer’s original Silver Sport line of Minor Power Factor ammo developed for IPSC competition but with a key change. The new ammo incorporates a slightly heavier 151-grain FMJ bullet versus the original 148-grain projectile. With an average muzzle velocity of 850 fps, the Barnaul 9mm Subsonic delivers a power factor of 128.35 from a 4.7-inch barrel, placing it just above the 125 PF minimum adopted by most shooting organizations for the minor power classes.

In addition to the new bullet weight, the Barnaul 9mm Subsonic continues with a bi-metal jacket and a steel cartridge case. To ensure consistent accuracy performance and no-fail cycling in the reduced power load, both the FMJ bullet and the case feature zinc coating for enhanced lubricity.

The Barnaul 9mm Subsonic will arrive on retail shelves by the end of March. Dealers are encouraged to contact their favorite wholesale distributor for purchasing.

Equipped with Leupold’s proprietary DNA ranging engine for lightning-fast accuracy and an exceptionally bright red display, the RX-1400i’s True Ballistic Range/Wind feature uses ballistically calculated ranges to keep you on target even when on the most extreme uphill and downhill shots. TBR/W accounts for the angle of your shot and your rifle’s ballistics to put you dead on target. Other rangefinders use basic trigonometry to calculate a straight-line horizontal distance, meaning they may not produce a truly accurate range to your target. The wind feature provides 10 mph full value wind hold to help you calculate a hold value in rapidly-changing wind environments.

Leupold’s proprietary DNA (Digitally eNhanced Accuracy) laser engine delivers incredibly fast ranging speeds, and the RX-1400i is capable of ranging 1,400-yards on reflective objects and 1,200 yards on trees. 5x magnification makes it easy to find your target.

The RX-1400i also features BOW mode to provide a super-fast and accurate archery ranges within +/- 1-yard at inclines/declines and LOS (line of sight) for use with ballistic apps. BOW mode works with the unit’s TBR engine to provide the equivalent horizontal range (level fire range) for arrows. The displayed range represents the ballistically equivalent horizontal distance to the target if the target is 175 yards or less.
