Springfield Armory has announced the launch of California-compliant variants of the Hellcat, Hellcat Pro and XD-M Elite 9 mm pistols.
The Hellcat has proven to be an extremely popular EDC pistol, combining potent power with packable dimensions. Featuring an OSP (Optical Sight Pistol) cut slide ready to accept an optic, excellent U-Dot tritium/luminescent sights, compact 3” barrel and Adaptive Grip Texture on the frame, the Hellcat is a top-tier CCW choice.
The Hellcat Pro takes everything that is good about the Hellcat and adds a bit more. Still slim and compact like the Hellcat, the Pro extends the barrel out to 3.7” and extends the length of the frame for a full-handed grip on the pistol for enhanced control and performance. Add to that OSP capability as well as U-Dot sights and more, and you have another great option for EDC.
The XD-M Elite 4.5” 9mm represents the ultimate refinement of a proven series of pistols. Featuring the Match Enhanced Trigger Assembly (META™) — delivering the finest production polymer-framed pistol trigger pull available — the pistol also offers fully ambidextrous controls and enhanced slide serrations.
All three pistols come with two 10-round magazines and feature magazine disconnect safeties as well as specifically designed loaded chamber indicators, all to meet California’s strict requirements. The XD-M Elite 4.5” 9mm also does not feature the extended and flared magwell of the rest of the Elite line. Otherwise, these pistols have all the performance capabilities and rugged durability of their non-California-compliant siblings.
